As part of its commitment to supporting the development of entrepreneurship in Nigeria, Microsoft Mobile Devices and Services would be awarding N3.5m to 5 Nigerians with brilliant business ideas in its Microsoft Lumia 535 Dual SIM activation, tagged from "Passion to Empire", which would run from February 16, 2015 to March 31, 2015. Two Nigerian Workers In Dubai Arrested For Stealing Vehicle Spare Parts

Two Nigerian workers in have appeared before the Dubai Criminal Court for allegedly stealing computers and spare parts from mini buses after breaking into them. According to Emirates 24/7 the accused persons, who are 26 years old and 30 respectively, would travel on their motorbike from Sharjah where they resided, to Dubai and roam around in search of buses to steal from. Their preferred type of vehicle was Toyota Hiace. After locating the buses, they would break the glass window, open the bus and steal its parts. Owners of the buses reported the incidents to the police on several occasions, leading to the arrest of the accused. During interrogations, the pair revealed that they would ship the stolen spare parts and computers outside the country. The court will reconvene at the beginning of March.

Army Chief Reveals Soldiers Who Reclaimed Baga From Boko-Haram Will Be Promoted

The Nigeria Military has recorded a major victory against Boko-Haram by flushing the insurgents out of Baga town and re-claiming the town. The Nigerian Military is thankful to members of its force who aided and abetted the flushing out the insurgents from the town and have promised to promote them as they deserve. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Kenneth Minimah, announced the promotion while addressing the soldiers during an official visit to Baga in Kukawa Local Government Area said the promotion was to reward the soldiers for their gallant effort in flushing out the insurgents. He added that soldiers who died in the battle with the insurgents would also be promoted posthumously. He said that the six weeks offered by the Federal Government for the military to clear the insurgents was achievable, going by the recent developments. “It is achievable; we are still within the time frame. But six weeks should not be taken that everything must be attained because this is war’’, he added.

Electrician Rapes Housemaid After Installing Decoder

An electrician, Chukwuka Onuorah, 33, who was contracted to install a DSTV decoder, in the home of a client, Mrs Gloria, 32, allegedly returned to the house the next day To Molest the 15-year old housemaid. The incident occurred around 3pm on February 6, when Gloria who lived alone with the house help invited Onuorah over to her house to install the decoder. Onuorah did not finish the job that day and was told that he should come back only when Gloria was at home. The next day however, Onuorah came back to Gloria’s house without informing her that he was coming to complete the installation. He immediately pounced on the housemaid who was alone in the house and forcefully had sex with her. The housemaid was said to have escaped from the room and locked the rapist inside the room while she ran outside to alert her neighbours . Chukwuka was promptly arrested and taken to the police station. The FCT police command commissioner of police (CP) Mr Wilson Inalagwu who confirmed the incident during a press conference said the case is under investigation. “The facts of the case are that on the 06/02/2015 at about 1500hrs one Chukwuka Onuorah ‘m’ of Gidan Daya village by Living Faith Church, Orozo was called by Mrs. Gloria to come and install DSTV Decoder for her. The suspect did not finish the installation that same day. “Gloria told Chukwuka that she would call him whenever she is at home. Bruce Jenner is not part of the deal, having previously agreed that he will be leaving after the upcoming 10th season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Bruce has his own show at E! based on his sex transition. The Kardashian deal, the highest in TV history for a reality brand, is being kept strictly under wraps. E!’s parent company Comcast says it plans to save by spending less on content if its proposed merger with Time Warner Cable goes ahead. The deal covers at least four more seasons of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” as well as spinoffs, which have included “Kourtney and Khloé Take the Hamptons.” E! executives also believe the family’s huge social media following will fuel future digital projects.
